North Kessock Rowing Club Open Day
North Kessock Rowing Club are having an Open Day to encourage potential new rowers to come along and try a “taster” session in the club’s skiff. This is taking place on 17th May from 2pm till 6pm at North Kessock Community Pier. The sessions will be quite short and fairly frequent so anyone who has a notion to try should get along and give it a go! There will be a gazebo with information set up at the Club’s space in the car park with the skiff operating from the Pier.

NKCP Workday
A successful workday was held on 23rd April on the pier. A small but hardy group of members and other volunteers managed to power-wash and subsequently paint the entire length of the wave wall over the course of the day. Congratulations and thanks to all who contributed.
Fire & Rescue Service Training Session
The Scottish Fire & Rescue Service will be utilising the Pier on Monday 26th May 2025, between 10am and 3pm. This is for the purpose of carrying out water rescue training, with a particular focus on rescue boat operations. The training will involve crews from Inverness and Elgin Fire Stations. One water rescue vehicle and trailer will be parked on the slipway, but the Service will be maintaining public access at all times.
Kessock Swim 2024
This year’s Kessock Swim took place on 31st August, a day of remarkably good weather! Around 230 swimmers of all ages and abilities took on the challenge of crossing from South Kessock pier to North Kessock pier and back. The North Kessock Pier was again providing access for the plethora of support and safety boats, kayaks, etc. necessary to ensure the safety of all participants.
Congratulations to the swimmers and to Aban for another great fundraising event enjoyed by both swimmers and sightseers. Thanks to Aban too for a kind donation to NKCP which will help us with the costs of ensuring that the pier continues to serve our community and the wider public.
